It was far away for more than two million inhabitants of besieged Leningrad, of which more than one and a half million did not wait for him ... almost all of them died of hunger, and those who survived did not forget the taste of a 125 gram piece of bread for the day, baked from rye and oat flour with the addition of cellulose, wallpaper dust, needles, cake and unfiltered malt. It was also far away for those who, from school, went straight into the heat of war. Young, unprepared - they did not know fear ... yesterday's girls and boys showed such heroism, which even now it is difficult to talk about calmly, without tears. Many of them did not wait for it, but everyone brought it closer as best they could.

The Great Patriotic War in one way or another touched almost every inhabitant of our country. Probably, there is not a single family in which there would be no stories about that terrible time.
